Oh Woe Is Me...Pity Party for Amber

Oh I am so far behind!!! We went on our traditional family vacation to west Texas. I would have a very pretty picture of a sunset over the mountains to post now, but see, my computer crashed. Anyway, it was a wonderful week...I have pictures of Grey singing in the Tabernacle, serving dinner at the cook shed, Ella walking (yes, she took her first steps!), but once again...MY COMPUTER CRASHED!!!!! ugh! So, this weekend we did buy a new one, however, my pictures are stored on the old computer. My CD drives were corrupted, so I can't save my pictures to CD. Luckily, my USB drives on the old computer are OK, so I will have to hookup the old computer next weekend, individually save each of my thousands of pictures on a flash drive, and then transfer them to the new computer. Fun stuff, huh? Bet you wish you could join my party over here... HA!

How's that for irony? Open up a photo biz, make it public to the world, and literally - the next day, the flipping next day people, the computer crashes!!! So, is that a sign? Oh I hope not. I'm not much of a believer in signs, so I'm going to say it's not! Anyway, hopefully I can get caught up next weekend and upload lots of pictures for your viewing pleasure!

So, on to this past week. First let me explain, Billy got in a minor wreck a few weeks back. He was driving my Mazda 6, which I love. It is the first ever, brand new car that I have owned. I love it. So, of course I want it fixed. We drop it off before vacation and get a rental. The Tahoe gets about 3 mpg, so we opt for renting to save us gas money. Get home, mazda isn't ready, keep driving rental. But, one day I drove the Tahoe, just for kicks ya know. And it was making this noise. I've never heard a noise like that before...enough that a guy in a parking lot stops and says "That doesn't sound right". Seriously? Thanks random-man. So, my father in law takes a look at it, thinks the radiator might have issues and suggests I don't drive it. Billy is out of town, have the rental, no problem. So, finally at the end of the week, I get my car back. YAY!!! Come home, have a great Friday night with the kids, excited to have my hubby back the next day. Saturday spent day cleaning and getting house in order. It was time to go pick up Billy, get the kids loaded, and my Mazda won't start. GREAT!!! Billy takes a cab home. Fun stuff. So at this point, I have no computer, a bad radiator on the Tahoe, a mazda that won't start and kids who are dying to see their daddy. Poor Billy. I worked so hard for him to come home to the perfect house, and instead it's all falling apart! But, we got a new battery on the Mazda, a new computer, still not sure about Tahoe, but we should be back in business soon. Oh, did I mention Ella broke my cell phone today????

Oh man that is rough! Losing all of my pictures is one of my biggest fears. Good luck re-loading all of your pictures...that really stinks!
