Golightly Images

OK, it's time to spill the beans. I've been an aspiring photographer for years. I love photography!! Then I had Grey. And, while I still loved photography, that dream got put on hold. Technology advanced. I kept busy with a full time career and an active child. Then I had Ella. Still loved taking pictures, but mostly by this time I was out of the loop. Long story short, I am back in the loop, and back to trying to pursue my dream. So, Golightly Images is open for business.

Why Golightly, you might ask. Well, I'm a huge fan of Audrey Hepburn. A lot of my inspiration comes from her movies...Funny Face is actually my favorite, however it's not an ideal name for a photographer! But, Holly Golightly...Breakfast at Tiffanys. Really, is there anything else that encompasses grace, class, elegance better than Audrey Hepburn?

I hope to get my new blog beautified and glamorized soon. In the meantime, pop over to Golightly Images at http://www.golightlyimages.blogspot.com/ for a preview. It really is not perfect yet. I have more pictures to edit and upload, but I hope you can get the gist of my work. If anyone would like to contact me, please just leave a comment on either blog. I can promise you that we will create unique pictures that really show off your personality.

Summer Fun

Look at the concentration!
Ella adores her Daddy!

Grey is in this silly stage. So funny!
Ahh, being a sweet big brother.

We had a blast this weekend. It was just one of those perfect weekends. We didn't do anything major, just stayed around the house, but it was just fantastic family time. On Friday, Billy and I were able to have a date and had lunch at Pei Wei and saw the new Harry Potter movie. Loved it! And, since this was a lunch date, we were able to still spend the entire evening at home, grilled out for dinner and had lots of good time with the kiddos. Then on Saturday, Billy and Grey had an "adventure" which involved Transformers 2 and a trip to get some water fun. That afternoon we spent with Grey having a blast on his slip n slide and Ella crawling all over her baby pool. Such good times. Our BFF came over and had a good dinner, good conversation, game playing and good times! Sunday, it rained so we spent the day indoors and playing more games with Grey and just spending quality time together. It wasn't a big, outlandish weekend, but just one of those that I will cherish. I love times like these, where you just enjoy being together. I hope these kinds of memories are what Grey will remember most. I'm sure Disney World, Sea World, etc will be great memories, but I also want both of our kids to remember that we just enjoyed being together no matter what we were doing! Great times!

Ella @ 8 months

Our Ella Bella is 8 months old!!! Time goes so fast. She is such a happy little girl and we are so thrilled to be her parents. She has been crawling and pulling up for a while so she is quite the pro at it now. She does not have any teeth, but Grey was a late teether, so we aren't expecting that any time soon! She is a great sleeper and eater. She is truly a delight.

Sea World - Day 2

On Day 2 we had a few shows we wanted to catch and rode some more rides. But first we started the day with my favorite thing - feeding the dolphins! At first Grey was all gung-ho to feed them, but once he caught a glimpse of those teeth he was not so certain. Billy ended up doing all the feeding and petting. Grey loved watching them, and I juggled a wiggly Ella and playing paparazzi. Ella would have squirmed right into that tank of dolphins, she was so absorbed with them! It was pure greatness!!! We each got to ride a ride with Grey. I rode Rio Loco and we both got drenched! We also watched more shows. I know all the fuss is about Shamu, but I personally liked Viva the best. That was the dolphins and divers show and it was awesome! We also saw a 4D pirates movie, a different Sea Lion show, and a different Shamu show. It was so hot there, in fact it was record breaking. I had cute 4th of July outfits picked out for the kids, but all that got scrapped in favor of bathing suits and the coolest clothes we had! We bought one of those mister fan things you can spray yourself with and we used the dickens out of it!!! This was a fantastic family trip and we can't wait to go back again!

Sea World - Day 1

We decided to take the kids to Sea World over the 4th of July holiday. We had a blast! This was a great decision for a family trip. We started out the day at the water park, but I didn't keep my camera with me in case of splashing. The water park was great. There was a section called Lil Gators that was perfect for Ella. She could crawl around in the water and not get her face in the water. She loved it. Grey and Billy rode lots of rides and played in the bigger kids area for a while. While we were in the water park, we had lunch and watched a show. Then it was on to the main park. While we were there we got to see Shamu, the Ski show, the sea lions, and fireworks. Both the kids did fantastic.

(unfortunately blogger has put the pictures in some random order)
