Memorial Day

What better way to spend memorial day than in the pool? We spent the day at Gramma Dees with family and some friends and had a great time! Grey is such a fish these days. He has a blast playing in the pool. It was a little too chilly to stay for long, but I know in a few weeks we will wish for that cool water again! Unfortunately it really was too chilly for Ella to come, but she is also becoming quite the little water baby!

Pre-School Graduation

Grey is now a Kindergartner!!! Wow! We went to his graduation this day and it was so sweet. Each kid got a little diploma and the teachers read a few things about him. Grey wants to be a police officer when he grows up. His favorite part of being at Little Saints was playing (of course). He had such a great 2 yrs there and we can't wait until Miss Ella gets to go. He has learned so much, and had such amazing teachers. We are so thankful this school has been a part of Greys life!

Mothers Day Weekend

We had a fabulous weekend here at the Knauss House. Last weekend for his birthday, Grey got a water balloon package from a friend, so Friday night we had a family water balloon fight. It totally didn't start out like that, was just supposed to be Grey playing around with the balloon sling shot, but we had a great, great time. After that we got cleaned up and went down to the lake and got the bluebonnet shots for Mothers Day presents. Bribery is awesome, by the way, and we bribed Grey with McDonald's if he'd participate and he did wonderfully! On Saturday Grey had an early soccer game and he scored 3 goals! He did so well, and just had so much fun. We spent the rest of the day hanging around the house, Grey riding his bike, me cleaning, and Billy working on projects. It was a great day. One of Greys friends had a birthday party and we went to that in the evening and got to catch up with some great friends we haven't seen in a while. It was so enjoyable to visit with them again! Sunday was Mothers Day. I woke up to a yummy breakfast and hand made card from Grey. Church was very uplifting, and straight to Billy's mom's for a yummy lunch and fun afternoon. We fed the ducks, Billy taught Grey how to pop wheelies on his bike, we sat outside most of the day, just a fantastic way to spend the day. Billy is getting me a cleaning lady for mothers day so I can have the house deep cleaned, which it so desperately needs! I just can't keep up anymore. We had a fantastic weekend and I am so sad that it is already over. How come the best times fly by so quickly????

Bluebonnets

Grey 5 yrs

Ella 6 months

I took the kids pictures out in the 12 remaining bluebonnets this weekend! I'm so glad I was finally able to do this. I've been wanting to get a good picture of them in the Texas tradition for weeks now, and just barely got it before they were all gone! Enjoy!

6 Months

Ella is 6 months! In honor of her 6 months, here are 6 of her favorite things.

1) Her play mat. Ella loves to roll around, chew, and bat at the toys on this little thing!

2) Bananas. We have added bananas to her rice cereal and to her oatmeal and now she refuses to eat plain rice cereal or plain oatmeal! She loves her some 'nanas!
3) Nuks. These are most important. I didn't realize she had a favorite paci until I lost all my nuks. I tried to give her different pacis, but she would not take them! Ella is definitely a Nuk girl!

4) Sweet Peace Baby Soothing Center. Ella loves this. We have it set up next to our dinner table, so when we sit down for dinner, we put her in there. She plays with the toys and talks to herself in the mirror. She just loves it!

5) Bumbo. I keep this set up on the desk so she can sit next to me while I work. She just loves being able to sit up so comfy!

6) Jumper. Oh boy! Ella absolutely loves this! We have this set up by the window and she most especially loves watching Grey play outside while she bounces.

So, there is some info on our sweet baby girl. I can't believe Grey is 5 and Ella is 6 months! Time flies!

Grey's Bowling Adventure - Celebration #4

We have a family that is near and dear to our hearts. For privacy sake, I'm just going to call them the P's. Well, DP (not to be confused with Dr Pepper, which is another priority to life) is a fantastic baker. Every year she makes an amazing cake for Grey, whatever his hearts desire. This year it was batman, and once again she did not disappoint. They also upped the ante this year with taking Grey bowling for his birthday. We had a blast! I haven't been bowling in years, since the last time with the P's. This was Greys first time. VERY different from Wii!!! :) But, Grey had yet another wonderful celebration. What a week he has had! We are very blessed to have this amazing boy in our life. He keeps us on our toes, laughing most of the time. It seems like 5 yrs has gone by in the blink of an eye, yet at the same time, I can't remember not having Grey. We are so blessed to be his parents!

Grey's Birthday Party - Celebration #3

For privacy sake, I did not download any pictures of other children from Greys party. We had a great time at Peter Piper Pizza! We had several children from Greys school and from Soccer come celebrate with Grey. He had a blast!
